本人任職於交通大學管理科學系所助理教授，學生XXX本年度為本人的導生。XXX做事認真負責，為人親切，具有服務熱忱，故本人樂於推薦之。

XXX在剛進交大時成績表現或許沒有很好，但是不斷努力的結果，到了大二之後有些許進步。對於自己有興趣的科目更是不懼怕的去學習。在大三期間接受系上沈華榮老師指導，跟其他六位同學一起進行學校委外經營制度專案之研究，在進行專業研究時，虛心接受學校其他單位的建議與批評，認真執行專案的要求，積極去作訪查的工作，負責任的態度獲得老師與同學的信賴。

XXX在大學期間對於系上事務相當關心，積極參與系上的所有活動，不論是系上的營隊或是系學會，都不遺餘力。曾擔任過管理科學營、企業管理營、以及管理科學系系學會幹部，具有服務熱忱，與同學相處也相當融洽，可見XXX在交大不僅學習到專業知識，其待人處世親切的態度與服務的熱忱，讓她成為一個優秀的學生，是我想要推薦她的主因。

XXX雖然家境不太富裕，在大學期間曾為了減輕家裡負擔而從事許多打工活動，但是她具有的熱忱與服務精神，負責任與積極的態度，值得讚許，也希望貴單位能給予她獎助學金的幫助與讚美。

I am writing this letter to give my strongest recommendation for XXX, who is presently applying for admission for your honorable program. XXX is a distinguished student of Department of Management Science at National Chiao Tung University. I came to know him when he took my ‘Consumer Behavior¨ course in his senior year. He always paid keen attention to me during my class, participated actively in class discussion, and proved himself as a diligent and conscientious student among his classmates. I’ve known him for more than two years and I believe that he can be a great asset your honorable program.

My course is composed of lectures and oral presentations. During the oral presentation, XXXtook a very active role as a leader in his team. He was a successful leader who inspired his team to excel in all the performances for a almost over-loading course.

In addition to his capability in management, XXX is a diligent student who attended the course without any no-show. He was also very punctual and responsible for each assignment. Therefore, he obtained the highest grade in his team and he also showed remarkable presentation skill. For a very difficult research paper assigned to him, he could understand it thoroughly and clearly illustrated key points. This is impressive to me.

Since 2004, XXX has joined Management Science Student Organization and became the Vice President of it in 2006. Being a Vice President can sometimes be an exhausting job, as one must constantly be an effective messenger between faculty members and students. Nonetheless, XXX worked patiently with each and every one of his peers and the enthusiasm and creativity he brought in Management Science Student Organization remained noticeable among his peers. Besides, he is so personable that everyone that I know in this department can get along with him very easily.

XXX was one of the students of my 2005 Principles of Marketing and 2006 Consumer Behavior classes. She is a talented, diligent and committed student. She always tries her best to learn things. So far, she has earned 136 credits and been ranked the 4^th place in a class of 58 students with an average score of 86.47 points.Her excellent academic credentials can be a powerful certification of her ability to learn and do a great job.

She is a person who is not afraid of difficulty and would work even harder to overcome the obstacle. Let me give you an example. Almost all of XXX’s classmates were classified as scientific group from senior high school.  XXX was classified as a social group from high school. She had some difficulties in Calculus in the beginning of her university life. However, she didn’t give up. She worked very hard to solve all the problems from the textbook. Eventually, she was able to prove that she had the ability to work under pressure and a great competency to learn.

She has the enthusiasm and high levels of motivation to learn more practical knowledge about management related area. In my capacity as a professor of XXX, I am glad to recommend him for your MBA program. In his undergraduate study, XXX took three courses under my instruction: Consumer Behavior, Personal selling and Management, and Independent Research. He had outstanding performances in these courses. From my observation, he understands marketing better than his peer students and has shown a zealous attitude towards research. I believe that he is suited for further study in marketing and to pursue this profession as his career.

Marketing entails a wide range of interdisciplinary knowledge, and only with extensive knowledge can one do well in this profession. XXX has demonstrated that he has an excellent understanding of the discipline of marketing in his academic performance and course participation. His final report for the Consumer Behavior course stated that the interactive effects between framing and product category influenced consumers’ willingness to purchase. In a role-playing practice of the Personal selling and Management course, my students were divided into two groups: the business personnel group and the purchasing personnel group. When XXX joined the business personnel group and acted as a salesperson for different industries, he knew how to find the needs of potential customers. On the other hand, when acting as a purchaser, XXX analyzed thoroughly what benefits a product or a service could bring to the company, and then took proper action based on this information. This shows his ability to apply his knowledge to solve real-world problems.

In the senior Independent Research course, XXX impressed me with his reasoning ability and unwavering perseverance. When designing experiments, XXX demonstrated his understanding of experimental methods for social sciences and his exactitude of procedures. This could be only done due to his strong logical ability, which facilitate to define his research objective, and formulate sound hypotheses, and design experiments that conform to scientific requirements. In the final stage of research, XXX was asked to conducted statistical analysis on the collected data to examine the hypotheses. From this project, XXX showed his ability to do independent research and to solve problems.

With his excellent logical reasoning and hardworking personality, I am sure that XXX can meet the challenge of a rigorous MBA program. Therefore, I strongly recommend XXX, a student with a great potential and I firmly believe that he can be a great asset to your honorable programs.

I first met XXX in my course of “Professional Selling and Sale Management” during her senior year. She always concentrated on my courses and bravely expressed different opinions in front of other classmates. She showed not only enthusiasm about learning but also excellent communication skill during every presentation I assigned. Though it has been almost two years since her last presentation, I can still vividly recall her sales pitch in which she demonstrate both excellent English oral skills and great application of all the theories that she had learned from the class. In the group assignment, I was really impressed by her outstanding leadership and the good interpersonal skills. She can think independently and absorb other members’ ideas to make a conclusion quickly in a limited time. Furthermore, XXX also showed her creativity and imagination in her work. I can see a good sense of observation and critical thinking when reading her papers.

A great ability of analyzing data and problem solving was also revealed in her final report for this class. For the final report, I asked the students to compete with each other in an online virtual market that students have to evaluate their capital, set up salary mode for different salespeople, and forecast the marketing trend to achieve the highest profit for their own company. XXX did a wonderful job in her final report. She learned quickly and made correct decision by analyzing the data carefully. In addition, she was absolutely insightful and diligent when she delivered her final presentation.

As her professor, I strongly believe that XXX will be a great asset to your honorable program as she is the most cheerful, ambitious, and determined student that I have ever seen in my career here at NCTU.         XXX is a talented and creative student who has positive attitude. For example, she is quick of apprehension, so she can understand the psychology theories quickly.Moreover, she also has a great sense of applying her knowledge to business cases and often asks stimulating questions in class. She performed well both in the paper and the presentation in English in Consumer Behavior. I am also impressed by her excellent performance in her independent research. XXX read all the assigned readings, and creatively applied her knowledge to the research. For example, the theory of social inequity was a brand new concept to her.
